27th of July - STAFF OUTING
We decided to go to Matisse Beach Club - a nice, modern restaurant/bar/club on Scarborough beach, north of the river in Perth. There are pools and cabana booths available outside for people to socialise and drink. The place looks like it was taken out of a Las Vegas Beach Club. As we are currently in the middle of Winter, we decided to sit inside in the restaurant. We sat on two large tables, as there were around twenty of us.
We all ordered cocktails to start. I picked a fruity, sweet number to start off. It wasn't too alcoholic tasting - it was nice and sweet, with strawberries, oranges and cucumbers in the drink and for garnish. The patterned straw was a nice touch (bottom left drink) My friend got the drink on the right - it was a Peach Iced Tea with Mint and Lime - also very refreshing and fruity.
The cocktails and drinks would be my favourite thing about the night. They were all very sweet and refreshing, and did not taste like alcohol at all!
As it was a Monday night, it wasn't too busy. However, I can imagine this place is hustling during the weekends. I definitely recommend this place for a drink! (Also offer half price pizzas on Monday and Tuesday ;) )
